This is how you deal with a problem in style.
Michael Kors teams with Kate Hudson for his #WatchHungerStop campaign, a four-year project that aims to raise enough money to provide 1 million meals to impoverished countries. Some of them include Uganda, Mozambique, Nicaragua, and Cambodia.
So why her? Simple. “She has the personality to connect with people all around the world. She’s got game, she’s got talent, she’s got notoriety, but she’s also got a really big heart. I think between the two of us, we can reach out to a lot of people,” says Michael.
Named a UN World Food Programme Global Ambassador Against Hunger, the designer hopes to bring the issue to the forefront via a special edition watch that you can purchase and serve as your donation.
“[This partnership between the World Food Programme and Michael] has given a chance for his loyal customers to take action. Not only to buy a cool watch but also to know it’s helping one of the largest humanitarian aid organizations fighter hunger,” says Kye Young of World Food Programme.
Michael and Kate will release two limited-edition styles of the Bradshaw watch this October. For every sale of a watch from the Watch Hunger Stop Collection, Michael Kors will donate US $25 to WFP.
Finally, you can say you shopped for a reason—a good one at that!
