The quarantine might’ve stopped us from seeing our friends in person, but thanks to technology, we can still virtually hang out with them. And it seems like some of our favorite artists have been doing the same and started hosting reunions for fans.
Last Tuesday (Apr. 14), the cast of “High School Musical” had a mini reunion via Zoom which proved to be super nostalgic for Disney fans. Zac Efron wasn’t part of the video call though, but we’ll take what we can get.
Another rumored reunion that has fans hyped up is One Direction. It started with Liam Payne saying that he and his former bandmates have been talking about celebrating their 10-year anniversary in July.
Meanwhile, there are other reunions that have been delayed because of COVID-19 like the “Friends” special filming and the Pussycat Dolls’ comeback tour. On the bright side, we have something to look forward to once things go back to normal (whatever that means).
But if there’s anything we learned from the quarantine it’s that our favorite groups and TV cliques can join together again and do comeback projects. Aside from the ones we mentioned above, we want to see other reunions happen during or after quarantine.
The Cheetah Girls
Before the stars of “High School Musical” dominated Disney, we had the Cheetah Girls consisting of Raven Symone, Adrienne Bailon, Sabrina Bryan and Kiely Williams. The movies and the songs were our jam growing up, so we’d love to see them perform together again. It’s great timing as well since Symone and Williams recently made up a decade after their fallout.
Big Time Rush
The Nickelodeon boy band has been hinting at a comeback since last year, but so far they haven’t pushed through with it. Perhaps they were planning something before the quarantine started? We can only hope.
The Sexbomb Girls
Since the enhanced community quarantine began, leading TV stations have been airing replays of hit shows to keep viewers entertained. One of the shows that’s coming back is GMA’s “Daisy Siete” starring the Sexbomb Girls. That said, do you think the group should do a reunion? We imagine the OG members doing a collab dance challenge on TikTok for the fans.
2NE1
We know 2NE1 celebrated their 10-year anniversary together last year, but there are still Blackjacks (their fans) who are hoping for a reunion since they disbanded in 2016. Even former member Sandara Park wants to perform with her bandmates again.
The OG “Gossip Girl” cast
The “Gossip Girl” reboot may be premiering later this year, but we’ve seen enough memes featuring Serena (Blake Lively) and Blair (Leighton Meester) to make us miss the original cast. They can do what “High School Musical” did and do a Zoom conference call to check on each other—especially Penn Badgley, who’s playing Dan Humphrey with a knife on “You.”
