2020 literally does not stop with its surprises. Earlier today, May 28, the official customer service Twitter account of PLDT was allegedly hacked, with the account name changed to “PLDT Does Not Care.” (As of writing, the account name has been changed back to “PLDT Cares.”)
The alleged hackers tweeted a photo of a Guy Fawkes mask with the caption: “As the pandemic arises, Filipinos need fast internet to communicate with their loved ones. Do your job. The corrupt fear us, the honest support us, the heroic join us. We are Anonymous. We are Legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget . Expect us.”
A few minutes later, they sent out a tweet tagging Globe’s official Twitter saying, “You’re next.. #PLDTHacked.” Their last tweet included the alleged log-in details to access the account. All tweets have been deleted as of writing. These tweets have been deleted as of writing.
People since have reacted to the alleged hacking with memes and complaints about the network.
