Aling Marie just became the internet’s favorite angry sari-sari store lady

Earlier today, a video of a woman in a sari-sari store getting mad at government supporters topped the trends on Twitter. This woman, who was spitting fire in every sentence, was known as Aling Marie.

The video is filled with swear words—and rightfully so. Aling Marie’s rage is fueled by the lack of proper leadership that endangers us all. She also popped off at those who support the administration, saying that if they didn’t support the current government, then we wouldn’t be in this mess right now.

The truth bombs don’t stop there. In the almost two-minute video, Aling Marie put into words what we were all thinking when the government deployed the military for a health crisis, failed to reach mass testing goals, fast-tracked the Anti-Terrorism Bill and even blamed commuters for the government’s lack of transport planning.

She asks these supporters where exactly their brains are, saying “Gumamit naman kayo ng utak. Hindi niyo kasi iniisip ang kapakanan ng apu-apuhan niyo na magdudusa pag dating ng panahon.”

She also made her stance clear on the number of thieves in the Philippines right now. “Dumami ang mga magnanakaw. Lahat ng klase ng magnanakaw, ngayon nasa Pilipinas. Magnanakaw ng [Facebook], ng account, ng post, ng comment, ng pera, ng karapatan, ng karangalan. Lahat kayo, pati ganda ninanakaw niyo.”

Lastly, in case anyone wants to brand her as a dilawan, she very clearly reiterates, “Uulitin ko. Hindi ako dilaw. Hindi rin ako pula. Hindi rin ako puti. Kayumanggi ako.”

The video ends with another swear word, and honestly? It’s refreshing. Aling Marie told it like it is. Her statements also showed that she truly cared for the next generation of Filipinos who will be bearing the brunt of this crisis on their shoulders (and not to mention, wallets, as the country’s debts balloon even more with every passing day).

Her words have left us no choice but to stan.
