It seems that Korean media companies BH Entertainment and ZIUM Content are preparing for a Korean remake of the popular Netflix series “Money Heist.” According to Hallyu publication Soompi, the series is already in the development stage with Netflix. “It’s true that we’ve taken steps toward a remake of ‘Money Heist’ with the production company ZIUM Content and the OTT [over-the-top] streaming service Netflix. However, we’ve only shared the relevant content so far and nothing has been decided in concrete yet,” a source from BH Entertainment tells Sports Kyunghang.
Back in April, the Netflix show’s fourth season premiered, grabbing everyone’s attention, with spoilers and discussions flooding the internet. The Spanish crime thriller has gotten praise for its portrayal of women—with characters like Manila, Nairobi and Tokyo who prove to be heist mastermind Professor’s secret weapons.
