After a day of its release, BLACKPINK’s “How You Like That” broke multiple Guinness world records beating BTS’s “Boy With Luv” which was released in 2019. Among the records they shattered are most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours, most viewed music video on YouTube in 24 hours and most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a K-pop group.
According to the Guinness World Records site, BLACKPINK’s “How You Like That” garnered 86.3 million views on YouTube, beating “Boy With Luv” which had 74.6 million views. Aside from the music video, their live premiere also broke records. Reaching a peak of 1.66 million concurrent viewers, it broke these two records: most viewers for the premiere of a video on YouTube and most viewers for the premiere of a music video on YouTube.
“How You Like That” is a pre-release single from the group’s upcoming Korean-language album to be released in September. Can they beat their own record when the full album comes along?
