My fellow Blinks, news from the citadel: YG Entertainment just revealed a teaser earlier today that includes the album name of Blackpink’s upcoming release. Coming this October, “THE ALBUM” is Blackpink’s first full album since their debut in 2016.
The announcements caught Blinks off guard while they’re still trying to figure out Blackpink’s mystery featured artist from their recent single teaser.
It looks like 2020 is Blackpink’s year. The release of “THE ALBUM” would be their third comeback of the year, following their one year hiatus after “Kill This Love”. Prior to this busy year, members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa have been indulging in different activities which they shared on their YouTube mini-series “24/365 with BLACKPINK.” (Jisoo even reveals her gamer girl life.)
Because of these recent teasers, we can’t help but wonder how many more featured artists await for Blinks in the upcoming album. But one thing’s for sure, I’m disappointed that there weren’t any square references in the album name. Anyone with me?
