On her Instagram, Alicia Keys just announced the launch of her new skincare line called Keys Soulcare. According to the caption, it’s “something that should bring us closer to ourselves, our confidence and each other.”
Keys opted for a natural, barefaced look in the video. This is not a surprise because Keys previously went public about her decision to skip makeup in 2016. Penning an article to feminist newsletter Lenny Letter, she confessed that the pressure to be beautiful and wear makeup made her feel like she wasn’t good enough for the world to see.
“I don’t want to cover up anymore. Not my face, not my mind, not my soul, not my thoughts, not my dreams, not my struggles, not my emotional growth. Nothing,” she wrote.
And while teasers are already out in the open, the actual products will be dropped on Sept. 29 both on the line’s official Instagram page and website.
