We’re adding these sustainable sneakers to our shopping carts

Adidas Originals is reintroducing the classic kicks “Stan Smith, Forever” with a more sustainable approach that, it says, is a “touchstone in the brand’s journey to help end plastic waste.”

For all the sneakerheads out there, the shoes come in three styles, which are all primarily made of Primegreen uppers, a series of high-performance recycled materials with white recycled rubber as its outsole.

We’re in love with the first design which features a more feminine style with cute graphics and doodles on the heel. It would go perfectly with a flowy dress for a cheerful outdoor hangout or picnic with friends.

The second style on the other hand is simpler, with the earthy graphics and doodles embossed instead of printed on the shoe. For those not too keen about keeping colorful pairs (we understand that colorful shoes may be difficult to pair with), you won’t be sacrificing style with this pair’s more lowkey design.

The third pair is similar to the first, though the graphics are bigger and placed around the whole shoe. This pair is perfect for people who like to make their footwear their statement pieces.

The sneakers also come in an original Adidas box made of 90% recycled paper.

Before you add to cart, let’s not forget that the best way to remain sustainable is by reducing consumption. Although if your shoes are worn out, then investing in these functional and stylish pairs is a smart, sustainable choice as they’re bound to last (I’ve been wearing my own Stan Smith for 4 years now).

You can purchase a pair here.
