We're actually getting a Colourpop x Animal Crossing collab?

Just last night, Colourpop teased us by posting a video capture of the game “Animal Crossing: New Horizons” (ACNH) with the hashtag #colourpopisland.

Colourpop also gave us a collection teaser on their official TikTok account, which adds to the excitement. In the video, you can see products like eyeshadows, lip tints and powders with ACNH characters on its packaging.

While there technically isn’t a makeup option in the game but people (and brands) have used its face paint tool to simulate makeup. Givenchy, for example, partnered with Nook Street Market, a fan account that translates IRL fashion pieces into in-game outfits, to release heart and lip-shaped tattoos inspired by their Prisme Libre powders and Le Rouge lipsticks. Since the Colourpop collaboration is officially licensed, it wouldn’t be entirely far off to speculate that the IRL products would also come with in-game face paint patterns. Heck, maybe we could even expect a new makeup feature in the next update? It’s a wild guess.

It’s obvious that fans of both brands are dying for the collection to come out. BRB, we’re hustling for some bells.
