Get ready to see Red Velvet’s Yeri in a one-act drama

Reveluvs, we’re getting not one but two acting debuts for the first quarter of 2021. Today, TVN announced that Red Velvet’s Yeri will be joining its roster of actors for its one-act drama anthology “Drama Stage 2021,” that’s scheduled for broadcast on March 3.

“Drama Stage” was first launched in 2017. The annual anthology features 10 short screenplays by writers selected from the O’PEN Drama Storyteller Exhibition held by CJ ENM.

TVN revealed that Yeri was cast in this year’s seventh play titled “Mint Condition” which was described as “a comical but warmly drawn generational fantasy about an old man who becomes a young man in his twenties due to the breakdown of an MRI machine. [He tries to adjust to his regained youth and to get along] with a group of young hip-hop artists.” We have yet to get more info on Yeri’s role but we’re betting that she’s a character’s potential love interest who will lend her pipes to the show.

Other idol-slash-actors joining the series are former Girls Generation member Sohee, UP10TION and X1’s Kim Woo-seok and VIXX’s N.

While waiting for “Stage Drama 2021,” Reveluvs can catch Irene’s silver screen debut in “Double Patty” when it drops on Feb. 17.
