‘Love Alarm’ season two is coming this March

Heads up! The popular K-drama “Love Alarm,” a webtoon adaptation first released in 2019, is finally getting another season this March on Netflix. Get ready to see more hijinks and romantic entanglements caused by the titular Love Alarm, an app that that notifies the user if someone within the vicinity has feelings for them. (Ah, if only it existed in real life.)

“Love Alarm” season two sneak peek

“Love Alarm” season two is set four years after the end of season one, with main characters Kim Jo-jo (Kim So-hyun), Lee Hye-yeong (Jung Ga-ram) and Hwang Sun-oh (Song Kang) having graduated from high school and becoming adults. Apparently, the makers of the original app have released a new update to Love Alarm (now known as Love Alarm 2.0): it now shows “users a list of people who are likely to like them in the future.”

“Kim Jo-jo, who still hides her feelings, will come across a variety of small and (big) changes in society influenced by the app,” says a press release on the show. Good luck, girl.

The upcoming season will be directed by Kim Jin-woo of “Good Doctor” fame, while “Snowy Road” writer Ryu Bora will be serving as script producer.
