Monsta X’s I.M leaves fans in awe in his solo debut MV

Monsta X’s I.M just made his solo debut with a new music video and his first mini-album, “Duality.”

On Feb. 19, the rapper released his first digital mini-album with five tracks that he wrote, composed and arranged, together with a music video for the title track “God Damn.” Depicting the story of someone struggling with loneliness and a false sense of happiness, monbebes began calling I.M a genius for possibly leaving underlying messages in the video.

The music video features I.M smoking, drinking and cursing, which fans noticed were the things that idols should be able to do without being scrutinized by the general public. With the song’s pensive message, I.M continued to impress fans with his smooth vocals and visuals in the hip-hop track’s stunning music video.

Compared to Monsta X’s upbeat and aggressive style, I.M’s album is full of more mellow R&B tracks that show his artistry. While I.M has released mixtapes and solo music videos in the past, “Duality” is the artist’s official solo project since Monsta X’s debut in 2015. While “God Damn” already got us hooked, our fave b-sides from the album have got to be “Burn” and “Flower-ed.” What are your favorite tracks, monbebes?
