On Mar. 20, Claudine Barretto uploaded a not-so cryptic text post on Instagram. “Real dads support their children without the law telling them they have to,” the photo said in an apparent dig at her ex-husband’s child support (or lack thereof).
“This is for you raymartsantiago (sic) fight fair for once in your life!!!” Barreto wrote in her caption.
The two have been on the outs for years, with them splitting up in 2013. In November last year, Barretto reportedly filed an “economic abuse” case against Santiago for allegedly missing two year’s worth of child support.
Anyone who’s read my byline knows that I am a proud member of the “kids with bad dads” club. As someone who’s seen how bad missing child support arguments and legal cases can go, all I can say is, ouch. Support your kids, man.
