NCT’s Ten is staking his claim to hottest solo comeback of the year

What is it with K-pop main dancers and astronomically sexy solo comebacks? On Aug. 10, NCT and WayV member Ten will be dropping a music video for his third solo track titled “Paint Me Naked.” Judging from the concept photos, it might just be as sexy as it sounds.

On Aug. 2, SM Town released the cover art for the single. The graffiti-like font and the blue tinge reminiscent of a number of ’90s to early 2000s album covers had me thinking that perhaps he’s serving us an old-school hip-hop dance track. This would make it a bit of a departure from his emotive pop hybrids “Dream in a Dream” and “New Heroes.”

However, the concept photos released on Aug. 3 revealed a full outfit that had me taking back my initial guess. There’s something about his short blonde cut with the body chain top and lip ring that just screams sexy and slightly theatrical. Rather than a throwback bop, are we finally getting the long-lost sibling of “Baby Don’t Stop”?

While waiting for Shinee’s Taemin to return from his military service, many K-pop fans were wondering if any other idol could offer performances with similarly unconventional and sultry choreography. Luckily, his SuperM bandmate Ten seems up to the challenge. We can’t wait to witness his solo return and stream “Paint Me Naked.”
