Hey, Big Time Rush, what are you talking about?

Don’t just leave us in suspense

Oh, oh, oh, oh!

ICYDK, everyone’s favorite Nickelodeon boy band Big Time Rush announced its return last July 20, with two shows planned for December. The group briefly reunited last year, too, during that stretch of the pandemic where old groups and casts were hopping on to Zoom to meet each other for the first time in years.

Today, though, the band posted a very cryptic tweet: “We’ve got something special coming tomorrow. Keep a look out.”

Umm, sirs, you’re gonna need to give me more information.

My brain is also wracking through all the possible things the four members are going to announce. Are they going to announce more concert locations? Nickelodeon *did* post a tweet asking fans where else they wanted the band to go, so it’s possible. Are they going to do an online concert à la SB19? Oh god, are they going to bring back the show? (This one is the most unlikely but maybe what I want the most. I miss seeing the boys wear tree hats and be goofy. Although I guess I can do without Gustavo and his idea-stealing antics.)

If you’re confused, here’s a rundown of BTR. The band is composed of Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Logan Henderson, and Carlos Pena Jr. Aside from being a real band, it’s also kind of a fictional band. That’s because the band had its own Nickelodeon sitcom where the members played a fictionalized version of themselves. Think “Hannah Montana” but with four teenage boys. Their biggest was “Boyfriend,” which had Snoop Dogg getting a guest verse where he rapped about being a boyfriend. (What a time to be alive.)

The band *definitely* knows what it’s doing, keeping us all in suspense like this. If you check out the act’s Twitter account, you’ll see that it has liked the tweets of fans losing their minds and suffering waiting for the news.

The band will make the announcement at 12 p.m. PST, which is 3 a.m. for us. Guess I’m not sleeping tonight!
