This year, the stars aligned at the Dior show. (“As if!” we can hear Cher Horowitz exclaiming from the ether.)
Both Heart Evangelista and Jisoo of Blackpink strutted into the latest Dior show on Tuesday, March 1, while sporting ’fits reminiscent of Cher’s signature yellow plaid schoolgirl coord in “Clueless.”
Heart came in slaying with a classic white button-down collared blouse tied with a neat black ribbon and black lace skirt, paired with a yellow plaid Dior coat with the sleeves cuffed past her elbows.
On the other hand, Jisoo’s look was more pared down but just as cute. The K-pop star wore a button-down short-sleeve blouse with a black tie under a yellow Dior plaid dress.
Both of them also wore the same Lady Dior handbag, too, with Heart’s in gray and Jisoo’s in black. Twinning in Dior, who could’ve predicted that?
Every year, one of our favorite things to watch out for during the Parisian fashion shows (aside from the new runway pieces, of course), is what Heart Evangelista and the Blackpink girlies are going to wear.
After all, as SCMP writes, the members of the latter have become the “faces of different luxury French fashion houses”—Jennie for Chanel, Jisoo for Dior, Rosé for Saint Laurent, and Lisa for Celine.
Meanwhile, Heart Evangelista has become a major international style icon—with “Crazy Rich Asians” writer Kevin Kwan personally requesting her to audition for the movie adaptation and profiling her for Harper’s Bazaar. Heart also announced in January that she has now officially become part of the Dior family.
We can only hope that Heart and Jisoo were able to spot each other twinning in person. While they unfortunately weren’t photographed together (we’d like to have a word with all the French paps), they did attend the same show: Dior’s Autumn-Winter 2022-2023 ready-to-wear show by Maria Grazia Chiuri. We know Heart is a major K-pop stan—she and her stepdaughter Chesi fangirled over possibly seeing Jennie in their area at the 2019 Paris Fashion Week, and in 2020 she recreated Jennie’s makeup looks in her vlog.
