Neon head pieces, finned shoes, fish-like scales, shell details, and ruffles that look like tangled seaweeds—these are the elements that play a big role in John Herrera’s latest collection for Manila Fashion Festival.
From his stint at London Emerging Designer Awards show to the runways of Japan, John has finally brought Bioluminescence to Manila, showcasing a departure from his earlier works that favored traditional eveningwear that made him a favorite among celebrities.
Now, John shows off his ability to do more than the usual, riffing off an unlikely inspiration and making it work to perhaps dictate an upcoming trend.
