In today’s complicated celebrity relationship news: Rapper Iggy Azalea found out about her fiancé, LA Lakers shooting guard and small forward Nick Young’s alleged infidelity because of a video recorded by his teammate that went viral recently.
According to ESPN, the video was recorded in secret by rookie D’Angelo Russell, Nick’s teammate. It was then leaked on celebrity gossip website Fameolous’ Twitter account some time last week. In the video, Nick was being asked about his sexual relations with other women, including a 19-year-old whom he allegedly met at a bar. This has also caused a fallout of trust in the LA Lakers’ locker room where the team is reportedly isolating the rookie player. (Talk about breaking the bro code, right?)
D’Angelo has recently apologized for the video, saying he felt sick over what happened. “I can’t really show my face anywhere right now without people hating me. I’ll try to end it the right way,” he says.
Meanwhile, Iggy seems to have also found the video and tweeted her thanks to D’Angelo yesterday for his “film.” However, before all this went down, Iggy was already asked in an interview with 92.3 AMP Radio about her fiancé’s infidelity, where she replied, “Hey, that’s part of being a basketball player. There’s always something… I believe my man, and Nick is a super nice guy. This is not the kind of thing he would do.”
