Let’s admit it: Women love to collect makeup. Sometimes we don’t even realize that we’re hoarding so much that they’re starting to clutter everywhere. We’ve given you tips before on simple home and office fixtures to store your makeup, but if your collection is still growing as we speak, you might as well consider a more spacious alternative―dressers and cabinets.
Think of your makeup as clothes: They can be easily sorted out based on their use, which makes your space look tidier. Plus, you’ll know where exactly you kept your lipsticks and eyeliners without having to dig through your makeup bag/s. But of course, like clothes, you also need to check up on them from time to time to see which ones you need to give away or throw out, so it makes it easier to spot in the cabinets.
With that, we picked out four dressers and cabinets which we think can help you with your storage dilemma.
#1 Starting out small: Habitat Aggy Oak Dresser
If you’re the type of person who’s just keeping a relatively small collection of cosmetic products, the three-drawer Aggy Oak Dresser from Habitat (P14,968) may just be the perfect size for you. Its wide-spaced drawers allow you to put small containers or trays to keep your makeup organized. And hey, since your collection’s small, you can even put a few clothes and other knickknacks in one of the drawers.

#2 Rustic feel: Crate & Barrel Zander 4-Drawer Dresser
With dark weathered wood, and the Zander 4-Drawer Dresser from Crate & Barrel (P64,488) fits is a good choice for those who want a more somber feel. And with a dresser like this, it’s best to use gold wire baskets or something similar inside its drawers to give it a little brightness when opening it. Also, make sure all of your liquid-based cosmetics are capped tightly when you put them inside because it’ll be difficult to brush it off when it spills on the wood.
Crate & Barrel. 3/F, SM Mega Fashion Hall, EDSA, Mandaluyong City. For more information, visit their Facebook page.
#3 Clean and minimalist: West Elm Modern 6-Drawer Dresser
Whether you want your makeup storage in your bedroom or the living room, this white Modern 6-Drawer Dresser from West Elm (P39,135) will definitely blend in any room. Its drawers will give you more room to categorize your makeup―lippies in the first drawer, eyeshadows in the second, and so on. Plus, since it has a minimalist design, you can also add a few fixtures on top of it to make it more eye-catching.

#4 For the certified hoarder: Pottery Barn Andover Cabinet
I recently saw a beauty video from YouTube vlogger Gabriella Lindley where she showed her huge makeup collection stored in an apothecary cabinet which had around nine to 12 drawers. There may be other women like her who may want that extra space, so the Andover Cabinet from Pottery Barn (P36,830) is the best alternative. This cabinet has 20 drawers which can store just about anything, and will definitely put your makeup organizing (and memory) to the test. Fair warning though as this cabinet is a big piece of furniture and might take up a lot of space, so might as well utilize the unused drawers to keep other stuff that are cluttered in your home.
