Following the success of the Yeezy Boost sneakers with Adidas, it’s kind of weird that they still haven’t released any for this year. Sneakerheads around the world have been patiently waiting.
Pete Fox, the president of Kanye’s Yeezy line released a statement, as if he knew how agitated people are getting over the long wait. And here’s what he has to say: “As a first of several launch announcements planned for this year, the highly anticipated YEEZY footwear collection from Kanye West’s own signature line will be released globally on June 6, 2016 in select high-end fashion boutiques, specialty stores and online.”
But gasp, notice the omission of Adidas from that statement and reinforcing the fact that the Yeezy line of footwear will be released this coming June is from Kanye’s own signature line.
So yeah, we wonder how Kanye’s relationship with Adidas will play out. For now, you can try—because we all know it’s hard—to just get yourself a pair of Yeezys in June.
