You Can Now Have Lips As Red As Selena’s

It seems like only yesterday when MAC Cosmetics gave us a teaser of their collection dedicated to the late Selena Quintanilla. First it was only a red lipstick similar to Selena’s, but last night, they revealed more on Instagram and Periscope.

In a post, MAC showed three lipstick shades, two eyeshadows, and a blush, all named after Selena’s well-loved songs like “Dreaming of You” (deep red lipstick) and “Fotos y Recuerdos” (shimmery pink eyeshadow).

Apart from that, the full collection was also revealed by Selena’s sister, Suzette Quintanilla Arriaga, on Periscope. According to her, there will be three lippies, five eyeshadows, a duo blush compact, an eyeliner, and mascara.

It also includes a lip balm named Itty Bitty Balm. (You sang that in your head, didn’t you?)

The collection came into fruition after fans of the singer set up a Change.org petition to honor their idol. Lo and behold, MAC came through. Maybe fans of late singers like Aaliyah can do the same? Just putting it out there.

Anyway, if you’re a huge Selena fan, be glad to know that this will be available on October this year in MAC’s website and stores. Until then, we can just sit back and look up all her songs to get our feels ready.
