In light of stars like Blake Lively, Scarlett Johansson, and Kristen Stewart defending Woody Allen amid rape and sexual abuse allegations thrown at him by stepdaughter Dylan Farrow, it looked a little bleak.
That’s until Susan Sarandon stepped into the picture. The actress took the issue head-on at the Variety and Kering’s Women in Motion talk at the Cannes Film Festival.
“I think he sexually assaulted a child and I don’t think that’s right,” Susan said plainly. “I have nothing good to say about him. I don’t want to go there.”
The news over the abusive past between Woody and Dylan have made headlines once more in light of Ronan Farrow’s op-ed piece in The Hollywood Reporter. It has then dogged the premiere of Woody’s newest film Café Society.
