Pioneering Filipina transgender model Geena Rocero lands the October cover of Harper’s Bazaar India, featuring a nine-model cover study produced by Christopher Sollinger.

Geena makes history as she is the first transgender model to front any imprint of the international magazine together with Tracey Africa, beauty transgender model of the ’70s and ’80s. Further details about the feature, which also includes supermodels Soo Joo Park and Tyra Banks, have yet to be released.

Ever since coming into the limelight, Geena has served as a very strong advocate for transgender rights with her advocacy Gender Proud and giving a TED speech on her transition. She’s also guested recently in Sophia Amoruso’s Girlboss Radio. Last year Geena also figured in a documentary about gay and transgender rights in the Philippines by Refinery29.

You go, Geena! We’re so proud of you!
