Looks like we’ll be seeing more of Dayanara Torres after the Miss Universe craze. The beauty queen is reportedly coming back to Philippine showbiz under talent agency Manila Genesis, which also handles celebs like the Valencianos and Martin Nievera.
Before Dayanara came to the Philippines last January, she announced that she signed with the agency. According to Bandera, her talent manager will be Angeli Pangilinan-Valenciano, the wife of her Hataw Na leading man Gary V.
Dayanara also made her ASAP comeback yesterday with a sizzling dance number, and has other pre-taped TV appearances coming up this February.
After winning the Miss Universe crown in 1993, Dayanara worked as an actress in the Philippines for five years. She worked on three films with leading men Gary V, Aga Muhlach, and Cesar Montano. She came back to the country to be a judge in the 65th Miss Universe pageant.
Meanwhile, Dayanara will be leaving for Puerto Rico tomorrow to see her two kids. She’ll also reportedly work on some paperwork before she fully comes back to Philippine showbiz.
We’re excited to see what’s in store for Dayanara in the future. Maybe she and Gary should make a Hataw Na reboot? Just a thought.
