We couldn’t help but get excited with all the baby (and even baptism) news happening! The most recent cutie is JC De Vera and his non-showbiz girlfriend Rikkah Cruz’s baby girl named Lana Athena.
JC posted a series of photos on his Instagram account with a touching caption, “My strength. My happiness. My inspiration. My motivation. My love. My life.” The photos varied from everyday moments to Lana’s recent baptism.
The actor and his girlfriend kept this private when Lana was born in May, they kept it on the down low until recently, most likely because they wanted to savor the moment of being new parents.
In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN News, JC revealed how fatherhood has changed him. “Mas naging responsible ako in all aspects of life. Mas naging compassionate ako kasi meron akong daughter na,” (I’m now more responsible in all aspects of life. I’m more compassionate now that I have a daughter) he said. “Hindi lang puro trabaho na ‘yung ginagawa ko. I now have my small family na kailangan kong buhayin. So ngayon mas naging dedicated talaga ako. Mas naging more energetic din dahil sa daughter ko.” (It’s more than just work. Now I have a small family that I have to provide for. I’m more dedicated and more energetic.) “Lahat ng ginagawa ko for them na, not anymore for me lang.” (Everything I do is for them and not just for me.)
