The guys of ‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before’ were trending for the wrong reasons

Following the success of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before comes social media backlash. The two lead guys, Noah Centineo (Peter Kavinsky) and Israel Broussard (Josh Sanderson), were trending on Twitter and it’s not because they’re cute.

There have been tweets and reports that Noah’s Snapchat nudes were reportedly leaked on the Internet. Naturally, many fans freaked out but still had the common sense to educate others on why they shouldn’t spread these posts because it’s considered sexual assault.

There’s no news as to where the alleged posts came from, nor confirmation if they’re real. Noah has yet to issue a statement regarding the matter.

Meanwhile, Israel issued an apology after his past racially insensitive and homophobic tweets resurfaced. Based on the screenshots, the latest was posted on July 16, 2016—just two years ago. Yikes.

“I am deeply sorry for my inappropriate and insensitive words and likes on social media,” Israel wrote. “I take full responsibility for my actions and I sincerely apologize. This has been a pivotal life lesson for me. I am dedicated to becoming a more informed and educated version of myself.”
