At 39, John Legend is the youngest EGOT winner ever

John Legend must be on cloud nine because as of right now, he is part of the EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) club. He is also the youngest person to have won all four awards. Woohoo!

The singer-actor won his first Emmy at the Creative Arts Awards for his executive producer role in NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert. He’s also nominated for outstanding actor in a limited series or movie for his role as Jesus. So watch out because he might just win that too.

In the past, John has won 10 Grammys, took home an Oscar for his song “Glory” in Selma, and won a Tony for co-producing Jitney. He did all those at just 39 years old.

John now joins the ranks of other EGOT icons like Audrey Hepburn, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Whoopi Goldberg, and Mel Brooks.

Congratulations, John!
