Japanese fan calls Sarah Geronimo the “Beyoncé of the Philippines”

Sarah Geronimo’s performance last night at the ASEAN-Japan Music Festival brought fans to a frenzy on social media. For good reason too based on the snippets posted by Sarah’s team.

Fans were ecstatic and proud of the Pop Princess for wowing an international crowd. They also made the hashtag “#PinoyPrideSarahGonASEANFest” trend on Twitter.

One Japanese viewer even referred to Sarah as the “Beyoncé of the Philippines.”

I mean, you could totally see it based on the clips above. But we also like to think that Sarah is her own person, no need for comparisons.

Congrats, Sarah! You slayed your performance as usual.
