Taylor Swift might be busy on her Australian tour right now, but she’s never too busy to show love to her fans. She—and her cats Meredith and Olivia—recently made a generous donation to a fan whose mother has been in a coma for three years after suffering complications from an ulcer. Through Twitter, the fan shared that the ordeal has been tough for her family, and they’re currently struggling to survive financially. “We take care of her at home full time, my dad is unable to work because he has to always be with my mom. My older brother and I have to provide for our family, my family is in trouble,” she wrote.
As evidenced on her Twitter account avatar, the fan, 19-year-old college student Sadie Bartell is clearly a Swiftie. Imagine her surprise when she received a $15,500 GoFundMe donation signed “Taylor, Meredith and Olivia Swift.” Her campaign has now reached $26,000 of its $40,000 goal.
This isn’t the first time Taylor made a similar gesture, and it just goes to show why her fans love her that much.
