Our fave royal family is celebrating Prince Charles’ 70th birthday! And as tribute to the heir of the throne, the close-knit clan gathered ‘round for that required family shot. Of course since he is Prince Charles, we expected something grand and, well, royal. That’s why we loved how fresh and different this set of photos is. The snaps released by the palace captured a candid side of the family. We see the celebrant sitting on a bench, surrounded by his family, brightly beaming at the camera. Another shot shows them giggling at something happening behind the camera we’re not privy to (very Modern Family-ish.)
As Mirror UK noted, “while that bench is probably hand-carved oak and the Clarence House lawn freshly mown by a gardener, the Wales-Cornwall-Cambridge-Sussexes really look like a NORMAL happy family.”
We couldn’t agree more. They truly are the picture of happiness. Happy birthday, Prince Charles!
