Catriona Gray has proven that she’s very hands-on with her Miss Universe outfits as she immersed herself in different local cultures and worked closely with designers. Apparently, it’s the same with her hair and makeup too.
Before she went out for the long gown competition, Catriona was quickly asked who did her look. “Ako! Promise!” she said excitedly. She didn’t have help either! (Hence, the joke-tweets about working on group projects alone. Same.)

It’s normal for beauty queens to know how to do their own hair and makeup at pageants. If you remember in 2015, Pia Wurtzbach also did her own makeup while Gery Peñaso coached her via WhatsApp.
Still, good on Catriona for holding her own during the preliminaries. Her natural and glowy look definitely complemented her Ibong Adarna gown.
