Rachel McAdams is making breast pumps high-fashion

Breastfeeding is a natural thing and women who choose to do it in public shouldn’t be judged for it. It should be the same with breast pumping, especially when a mom is still nursing. I mean, it wasn’t a big deal for Rachel McAdams and Girls. Girls. Girls. magazine.

Rachel is on the cover of Girls Girls Girls’ latest issue. In one of the photos, she’s wearing a Versace ensemble, Bulgari diamonds, and her breast pumps still attached on her nipples—no biggie. In case you didn’t know, the actress has a six-month-old son. According to Girls. Girls. Girls. founder and editor Claire Rothstein, Rachel was pumping in between shots, and noted that it was the actress’ idea to be photographed with the breast pumps.

“Breastfeeding is the most normal thing in the world and I can’t for the life of me imagine why or how it is ever frowned upon or scared of,” Claire wrote on Instagram. “I don’t even think it needs explaining but just wanted to put this out there, as if it even changes one person’s perception of something so natural, so normal, so amazing then that’s great.”

Girls. Girls. Girls. is a fairly new magazine that launched just last February. Based on their photos so far, they aim to highlight the natural features of women with a touch of glamour.

Good on Rachel and the magazine for bringing to light the normalcy of breastfeeding in society. She slayed this photo shoot while keeping her son fed—she’s the real winner here.
