Here’s where you should take your kids this Christmas break

You might not have that much of a Christmas break but the kids in your family do. Whether they’re your children or your nieces and nephews, why not take the time to bring them out on fun activities? I’m sure being cooped up at home isn’t fun for them so plan out a day for them to enjoy. If you’re not sure where to start, we’ve listed some shows, museums, and arcades to check out. Don’t worry, you’ll enjoy these spots as well.

Disney on Ice

You might have already seen Disney on Ice before, but this year is different. This year is also a celebration of Mickey’s 90th birthday. You’ll catch some old favorites like the Toy Story friends but there are some new additions too like Moana, Maui, and characters from Frozen. Shows start on Christmas day until Jan. 6 so book your tickets ASAP. Tickets available online. Happening at the Mall of Asia Arena.

KidZania

Let kids experience what it’s like to be an adult for a day. Here, they can see what different careers entail like working as a doctor or at a bank. There are are also other activities and games for them to enjoy. Have them make a stop at the craft corner where they can decorate Christmas placemats and make ornaments. Tickets available online. Located at Park Triangle, 11th Avenue, Uptown Bonifacio, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.

Light shows

For the kids and kids at heart, treat them to a trip around the metro to visit the different lights shows. You can start off with the Sweet Illusions at Estancia and take photos in their themed rooms. Another must-see is the Ayala Triangle Festival of Lights wherein lights dance around to classic Disney songs. Check out this list to see what other shows you can catch.

Rapunzel! Rapunzel!

Give the phones and computers a break, and have the kids enjoy a play. Treat them to the story of Rapunzel live on stage by Repertory Philippines. There will be shows until Jan. 13 so you can even catch it more than once. Tickets available online. Located at OnStage Theater, Greenbelt 1, Paseo de Roxas, Makati City.

Art in Island

A place that lets kids interact is always a good idea and this 3D museum is the place to do it. There are different scenes that let you pose and use your creativity. They also play tricks on your eyes so you can look like you’re floating or cuddling a giant cat. Located at 175, 15th Avenue, Barangay Soccoro, Cubao, Quezon City.

The Garage VR Zone + Food Park

Escape the real world and enjoy all the cool things of virtual reality. There are three different types of games you can try: Mario Kart, Ski Rodeo, and Hospital Escape Terror. In between games, you can also enjoy their selection of food truck meals like hot dogs, nachos, and sushi. Located at City of Dreams Manila, Asean Avenue corner Roxas Boulevard, Entertainment City, Parañaque City.
