Christmas miracles do exist. Or something close to it. In the epic Christmas party thrown by Kris Jenner (which reportedly cost $500,000) at Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s mansion, the Kardashian-Jenner clan was joined by close family friends like Paris Hilton, Jennifer Lopez, and John Legend. Also in attendance was one unexpected guest: Sofia Richie—girlfriend of Kourtney Kardashian’s baby daddy, Scott Disick. Not only that, but the two women reportedly bonded too. Though the two previously met for dinner, the first time they actually bonded was during a family vacation in Mexico on Dec. 23.
Celebrity Insider reports, “Scott had to ask Kourtney’s permission to have Sofia along on the family holiday vacation, and he was surprised that she said okay.” Apparently, Kim had a lot to do with it. According to Hollywood Life, “Kim has been encouraging Kourtney to befriend Sofia for a while now, she feels strongly that it’s the best thing for everyone. In her heart Kim would love to see Kourtney and Scott get back together, but she also acknowledges that Sofia has been good for Scott.” It Added that Kim was impressed by Kourtney’s strength and willingness to open up. “Kourtney realizes she had to let her walls down with Sofia, otherwise it would have only pushed Scott farther away which would have had a negative impact on their co-parenting if she continued to create a barrier between herself and Sofia.” The outlet also cleared that “It was never Kourtney’s intention to distance herself from Sofia, but it took her some time to get adjusted to the idea that Scott had fully moved on and was in a serious relationship.”
It’s apparent Scott was happy that the two women in his life are finally starting to bond. He even shared some photos of the three of them together on Instagram.
This is a welcome development in their relationship, especially since a source revealed to Hollywood Life that “It has been Sofia’s dream to build a better relationship with Kourtney from the beginning and she couldn’t be happier now that they’ve bonded on a whole new level.”
Just a few months ago, this scenario was deemed impossible, but hey, I guess that’s the magic of Christmas.
