#WithoutWomenMenWould: The hashtag where women joked and men got offended

The notion that women can’t live without men is often used as a sexist idea. It’s true that both genders need to work hand-in-hand in this world. But it’s another topic when you’re implying that women, specifically, will be useless and weak if left alone.

So, last night, the hashtag “#WithoutWomenMenWould” trended on Twitter. Netizens delivered on the tweets that offered possible scenarios on how men would react—they were funny and too real. Like this one that said men would go extinct without women because—yeah, you get it.

Many also joked about guys missing women’s yelling, the fact they can’t mansplain anymore, or how they wouldn’t be able to find anything.

Miss our yelling. They secretly love being yelled at. ?#WithoutWomenMenWould

While others seemed like they were low-key complaining about things they couldn’t do themselves and obviously depend on women to do it for them. These include cooking, washing clothes, and basically clean after themselves.

This hashtag is also the perfect opportunity to find the men who have the most fragile masculinities. One man assumed men wouldn’t have arguments because they “know how to cooperate” and this is also “why there aren’t societies run by women.” Another tried to pick a fight with a woman who joked that men wouldn’t handle childbirth because he probably wants to prove that they can push a baby out if anatomy allows them to.

Sure, if men could give birth, that’s a scientific breakthrough. But you also have to watch the Try Guys simulate going into labor and the birthing process. Then let us know if you can really handle it before you try and shove your machismo onto us. Plus, the hashtag’s meant to be funny. Chill out, guys.

If you were to tweet your own #WithoutWomenMenWould scenarios, what would they be? We would love to know how creative and entertaining you can be.
