Freddie Mercury and Mary Austin may not have been each other’s end game but the actors who played them in the film Bohemian Rhapsody, Rami Malek and Lucy Boynton, might be. (I know it’s still too early to tell, but the two are clearly in love, it’s hard not to hope!)
The two met during the film’s production and became a real-life couple. They have since become a pair to watch out for at red carpet events, and the Oscars is no exception.
Just before Rami headed to the stage to receive his Best Actor award, he gave a passionate kiss to his real-life leading lady.

On stage, he used his time to cite the need for more inspiring stories about immigrants. The son of immigrants himself, he gave a shoutout to his mother who was in attendance. “I love you, lady,” he told her.
Of course, he also paid tribute to the other special lady in his life. “Lucy Boynton, you’re the heart of this film, you are beyond immensely talented,” he said. “You have captured my heart.”
Awww. How can you not root for them?
