All eyes seem to be on Jordyn Woods and Khloé Kardashian these days, after the shocking cheating scandal broke. Yesterday, the former finally broke her silence and went on Red Table Talk with close family friend Jada Pinkett-Smith. She revealed everything that happened that night.
Jordyn explained that she and her friends went to a bar after getting dinner, where a party was happening. “I was minding my business, dancing, drinking. Tristan was there, he was doing his own thing—that was it,” she said. “After the club, normal L.A. culture when you’re young: Go to the bar, go to the club, it ends early, we all go to a house after. We’re not thinking about whose house or where it’s at.” It turned out to be Tristan’s, but she stressed, “He didn’t even personally invite me there. It wasn’t like ‘Come see me,’ it was like ‘Oh I’m hopping in the car, I’m coming with y’all. Y’all are going here? Cool, I know him. Even better!’”
She also cleared that they weren’t getting or cozy intimate in the party as initial reports said, and more importantly, she didn’t give him a lap dance or anything like that. She did reveal however that she was sitting on the arm of a chair next to Tristan. “My legs were laying right over his. My butt was never sitting on him, but my legs were dangling down, so I picked them up and I put them over onto the bottom of his legs,” she said.
She also admitted that she did leave the party in the early morning. And that was where the story gets tricky. “On the way out [of his house], he did kiss me. No passion, no nothing,” she said. “It was a kiss on the lips, but no tongue kiss, no making out, nothing.”
The morning after, Jordyn says she talked to Khloé and Kylie. “I was honest about being there, but I wasn’t honest about the actions that had taken place.” She said she was trying to protect Khloé, and because honestly, she was just scared.
And when Jada asked Jordyn point blank if she slept with Tristan, she firmly replied, “Never a thought. Never a consideration. Never happened.” She added, “Just to clarify: There has been no communication with Tristan, no relationship over time.” She said she’s willing to be attached to a lie detector over her statements. “I need people to know the truth, and more importantly, I need the people involved to know the truth.”
Of course, after the interview, the Internet went crazy. People were divided over who to believe. It’s a sad but ultimately familiar narrative where a woman is pitted against another woman. I mean, of course, I get that there now exists a tension between them. Based on the circumstances, it can’t be helped. But the fact that #teamkhloe vs #teamjordyn is now a very real thing in the Internet with some people seemingly trying to consciously leave out Tristan in the picture, is upsetting. People say Tristan is already a known cheater, like he can’t help it, so the blame falls on Jordyn. It’s just another way of saying “boys will be boys.” It’s crazy, even Jordyn seems to believe this too. When Jada asks her what she thinks of Tristan making a move on someone who’s practically Khloé’s sister, she says she guessed that he “just wanted to shoot his shot.”
She talked about how she knows she’s clearly at fault too. “I feel like I can’t point fingers … because I allowed myself to be in that position, I allowed myself to be there,” she said. “And how would I feel if someone close to me is hanging at my ex’s house or the father of my child? I wouldn’t… I didn’t think about that.”
In the interview, she further spoke about how she was forced to mature in the two weeks since the scandal broke. She had to deal with the consequences, which she revealed went as far as becoming a matter of safety for her and her family.
Don’t get me wrong. Clearly, Jordyn is at fault here too. But regardless, the fact that some people give her more sh*t even though Tristan is older, and—if the story was true (Jeffree Star stepped in to say otherwise)—clearly is more responsible, is beyond me. Yes, Jordyn was basically family. But wasn’t Tristan too? I mean, He and Khloe have a child, for pete’s sake.
Thankfully, Khloé seems to have come around and finally saw this. Whereas she initially called Jordyn a liar and blamed her for her and Tristan’s breakup, insisting that “Tristan is equally to blame but Tristan is the father of my child,” she now puts the blame solely on her baby daddy. “I’m a rollercoaster of emotions and have said things I shouldn’t have,” she wrote on Twitter. She moreover said she’s looking forward to moving on from all this. We truly wish she could. Same with Jordyn. Like Jada told her, “We’ve all let our little girl behavior get us into some grown woman mess.” I think she’s already dealt with the consequences enough, and she now has the right to move on with her life, carrying with her the lesson she learned the hard way.
And Tristan? I doubt this whole ordeal is as earth-shaking to him as it had been for Khloe and Jordyn. If there’s a silver lining in all this, it’s that at least the two women will now presumably stay away from the likes of him. Welp. Good riddance.
