You can now use your Facebook Messenger on dark mode

Facebook officially announced that their Messenger can now work on dark mode. It is said to be one of the most anticipated updates on the app.

So how can you access it? You can send a crescent moon emoji (?) to any chat group to unlock the feature, it’ll then prompt you to turn on dark mode.

Dark mode allows you to lower the brightness and at the same time keep the same level of vibrancy—allowing you to read your messages anytime, anywhere (especially in a dark room or something). Other benefits of dark mode are reduced eye fatigue, less blue light, and you can save a little more battery life.

It’s available on both iOS and Android so watch out as it rolls out in the settings in the coming weeks.
