The sudden passing of actor Luke Perry shocked the Riverdale cast and team, as well as his other colleagues in the industry. He was known for his role as Archie Andrews’ dad, Fred, so fans want to know how the show will move forward without him. Well, here are the updates that you’ve been waiting for.
Since the news, Riverdale production was halted and there’s still no news on when they’ll come back or what they’ll do with Fred’s character. It’s highly likely that they’ll write him off, but the question is how?
Meanwhile, showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa confirmed that future episodes will be dedicated to Luke. “Going through pictures on my way to set. From the early days. With Luke in the middle. Our heart, always. Tonight’s episode of [Riverdale] finds Fred doing what he does best—helping Archie. It is dedicated to Luke, as all episodes will be for the rest of our run.”
