Last night, I started experiencing problems on Instagram and Facebook. Naturally, I thought it was just being caused by the less-than-standard signal we have in the Philippines. However, I was wrong. Apparently, people all over the world are dealing with the same issue.
Although you can open the apps, a lot of functions aren’t working like posting and accessing business pages. Instagram addressed the problem on Twitter saying, “We know this is frustrating, and our team is hard at work to resolve this ASAP.” Facebook released a statement as well.
We’re aware of an issue impacting people's access to Instagram right now. We know this is frustrating, and our team is hard at work to resolve this ASAP.

We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing the Facebook family of apps. We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

According to The Verge, “It looks like outages are mainly in New England; Texas; Seattle, Washington; parts of Latin America, including Peru; the UK; India; and the Philippines.” This is probably why the trending topics on Twitter include #FacebookDown and #InstagramDown. I won’t even be able to post the link of this story on Facebook until this problem is fixed. Until then, entertain yourself with the other stories we have up on the site.
