Earlier this week, Marvel released new character posters for Avengers: Endgame that showed all the characters who survived the Snappening (colored) and those who turned to dust (black and white). Everyone—including us—was so hyped that we didn’t notice that some of the photos were airbrushed.
San Francisco-based journalist Katie Antoniou pointed out that the women—Black Widow, Okoye, Pepper Potts, to name some—didn’t have fine lines on their foreheads and wrinkles. Whereas the men, even Thor and the aliens who are supposed to be ageless, have these features.
This is once again bringing up the issue of women being photoshopped to look perfect in magazines and promotional materials because they’re not allowed to look old. But men are called “sexy” when their wrinkles are on full display.

Allure noted that Marvel hasn’t commented on the matter. Now that it’s out in the open, what do you think of this airbrushing issue?
