First, we discover that Mark Ruffalo and Brie Larson previously worked together in 13 Going on 30, and now this. It’s just proof that Brie Larson truly belongs with the Avengers gang.
In an interview on Ellen, the host asked Brie Larson and Scarlett Johansson about their first meeting. While Brie answered that they first met at a New Year’s Eve dinner, Scarlett refuted this. When Brie insisted, Scarlett teased her, saying “Clearly it made an impression on me, but somebody else didn’t care.” She then reminded Brie that they worked together before, to which Brie responded, “Oh my god, it’s the truth!” She explained, “I didn’t think about that because I felt like I was basically a glorified extra and you were Scarlett Johansson, so I was like ‘wow.’”
In case you didn’t know, the movie they were talking about was Don Jon, which came out in 2013. Scarlett played Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s girlfriend, while Brie assumed the role of his sister.
Scarlett assured Brie, ““I noticed you Brie. You were not a ‘glorified extra’.” Aww. You gotta love these supportive ladies.
