Last we heard from actress Fan Bingbing, she was allegedly held by Chinese authorities because of tax evasion and fraud. The news came after fans became worried of her disappearance. The actress later confirmed her whereabouts when she made a Weibo post last October, apologizing for her actions and that she’s paying taxes and fines (around $130 million).
After months of being low-key, Fan has made her first-ever red carpet appearance since going “missing.” She was spotted at the IQIYI Ninth Anniversary Gala in Beijing last Monday. The last time she was at a red carpet event was May 2018, two months before fans noticed she disappeared.
This is also Fan’s second post since reviving her Instagram account in February. The first photo she posted was a series of selfies with a caption wishing everyone a happy Chinese New year.
Way to make a comeback.
