Last month, Britney Spears shared she admitted herself in a mental health facility. She didn’t go into much detail, only that she needs some “me time” to get better. This also meant cancelling shows at her Las Vegas residency.
The latest update to the story is, according to Britney’s on-and-off manager since ‘99, she won’t be able to perform on stage anytime soon.
For how long? No one knows for certain.
Larry Rudolph told TMZ, “As the person who guides her career—based on the information I and all of the professionals who work with her are being told on a need-to-know basis—from what I have gathered it’s clear to me she should not be going back to do this Vegas residency, not in the near future and possibly never again.”
This now begs the question of Britney’s mental health status, especially with rumors that she was forcibly admitted to the facility. Fans believe it’s likely because of her conservatorship with her father.
This was imposed in 2008, after Britney’s infamous breakdown. Her father was named her legal conservator, meaning he has full control of her businesses, finances, and other personal affairs. This also included her ability to drive her own car. I mean, I know it was for a good reason, but that does seem a bit too much.
Earlier this month, Britney appeared in court, asking the judge to loosen the confines of the conservatorship. She reportedly confirmed all the speculations.
I’m shocked that the entire WORLD isn’t speaking out in support of Britney Spears right now, but I think that’s due to a lack of confidence in the allegations. So, I can’t say why I know, but all of this is very real. Please share and support #FreeBritney because it DOES help pic.twitter.com/OD0bvnQtss
It’s possible that she’s allegedly unable to continue her residency, and maybe perform in general, because she exposed a huge conspiracy. But whether you believe in the rumors or not, Britney’s mental health throughout this ordeal is still of utmost importance.
