Riverdale and Pretty Little Liars fans, get ready. In case you haven’t heard, there’s a Riverdale spin-off series called Katy Keene. Its trailer just dropped and it looks so good.
The series takes place five years after Riverdale High School and centers on the titular Archie Comics character, an ambitious fashion designer who wants to make it big in New York City, along with her friends.
Katy’s gang is composed of Jorge Lopez (Jonny Beauchamp), an aspiring Broadway actor who channels his drag queen alter ego at night; It Girl Pepper Smith (Julia Chan) who dreams of opening an art studio; Alexander Cabot (Lucien Laviscount), the CEO of his father’s record label who prefers a normal life; his socialite sister, Alexandra Cabot (Camille Hydea) who has big plans for their family’s record label; and KO Kelly (Zane Holtz), Katy’s boyfriend and personal trainer whose goal is to fight a welterweight champion in Madison Square Garden. Oh, and Riverdale’s Ashleigh Murray will reprise her role as Josie McCoy, who has set out to follow her long-time dream of becoming a singer.
Is this the new squad we’ll be obsessed with? We certainly hope so.
