Julia Barretto finally speaks: “Bea, you have charged everybody to destroy me FOR YOU”

Julia Barretto finally takes matters into her own hands and addresses the alleged third party issue with Gerald Anderson and Bea Alonzo.

After recent events that lead to speculations that Gerald Anderson⎯Julia’s leading man in the movie that was released earlier this year, In Between Maybes⎯was cheating on ex-girlfriend Bea Alonzo with Julia, rumors sparked an internet uproar, photos of Julia and Gerald together have been circulating, and Bea caused social media commotion as she showed cryptic posts hinting Gerald’s alleged cheating.

It was basically pandemonium.

Celebrities got involved and a lot of them were seen siding with Bea in her Instagram comments. Gerald was publicly labeled a ‘serial cheater’, and Julia Barretto received the most hate that she has ever gotten in the history of her career.

Well, Julia Barretto has had enough.

Just this afternoon, the actress finally broke her silence as she posted her statement on Instagram. And boy did she go off.

Julia wrote, “I have endured many harsh words hurled against me and my family everywhere on social media. It  is exhausting and painful.”

“I was attacked for two issues,” she continues, “1. I cheated on my boyfriend, 2. I was the cause of another relationship’s breakup.”

Julia then begins to clear her name with the allegations thrown at her “Let’s be clear Josh and I had broken up four months ago.” She says this as she was also attacked for breaking up with her love team Joshua Garcia because of her affair with Gerald.

She then proceeds to address the issue of her with Gerald, “Secondly, I believe Gerald has already made it clear that a third party was not the cause of the breakup. I would like to disassociate myself from the break up of Bea and Gerald.”

But Julia did not stop there. She did not only clear things up and defended herself, but publicly addressed Bea Alonzo in her post, using an old photo of them together as her headline. “Bea,” she explicitly wrote, “you wanted to keep your hands clean by not mentioning me in your controversial post, but with a click of your finger, in your sly way, you have charged everybody to destroy FOR YOU.”

“You have encouraged a culture of hate by purposely liking harmless photos, putting malice into the minds of many, which resulted in the outrage of insults against me.” She calls Bea out for using her influential status to act irresponsibly on social media, “That is downright bullying,” she wrote.

Julia has finally cleared the air and “refuses to be [Bea’s] victim.” Now that we have her side of the story, what do you guys think? How will this play out for Bea and Gerald?
