Preen Tries: Bringing back neon eyeshadow and wearing it to work

By Jacqueline Ariason August 16, 2019

Neon-colored everything continues to exist in 2019. Aside from fashion, we’ve been seeing women sporting show-stopping eyeshadow shades.

Spring 2019 runways had models walking for Rodarte, The Blonds, and Christian Siriano with bright lids and liners. Celebrities like Cara Delevingne, Kristen Stewart, and Madelaine Petsch also brought neon lewks during Met Gala 2019.

Bright eyeshadows like these are usually worn during nighttime events and not really during office hours. But because of mainstream shows like Euphoria, bright and bold eyeshadows are getting the spotlight it deserves. So, we believe people can apply this no matter the time of day.

We asked three women in our office to try on yellow, blue, and pink lids from morning until the afternoon. Spoiler: Not all of them are used to bold colors and makeup in general, so it’s interesting to see how everyone around them reacted to their looks.

The real question: Would they wear neon eyelids more after trying it once?

If you want to know the answer, watch the video below, and feel free to share the name of your favorite neon eyeshadow shade.
