Netizens are calling out Anne Curtis for taking part in love scenes for her new movie with Marco Gumabao, “Just a Stranger,” despite being happily wed.
But her husband Erwan Heussaff called them back out too.
Anne posted a recent film poster on her Instagram yesterday, where she and Marco are in an intimate position. Many bashers decided to react with comments like “Erwan has left the chat,” “Wag feeling dalaga” (Stop feeling single), “Di na kasi bagay sa sitwasyon mo ngayon eh” ([The role] isn’t appropriate to your situation anymore), and other negative statements.
Erwan decided to reply, “Let’s not be sexist people, if this was a married guy actor doing love scenes, no one would have any issue with it.”
He then stressed how people should not dictate what a couple should and should not be doing after marriage. “Hilarious comments. Last I checked, I’m the husband and I know how I feel (which is completely fine by the way, thanks for asking). So no need to throw around words like disrespect or dictate what a person should or shouldn’t do after getting married.”
Anne and Erwan have been together for years now, and have grown accustomed to each other’s careers. Especially since Anne has been acting since she was a child.
“I actually actively gave Anne inputs when I read the script on how I think the story could be developed or portrayed,” he said.
Erwan and Anne are both professionals who love their craft. Bottom line is, people need to back off on other people’s relationships.
