Surprise! Maine Mendoza had a little something up her sleeve all along—she is now signed with Universal Records Philippines as their new singer. This allows her to break out from lip-syncing which she got discovered for.
It started two weeks ago with a few teasers of a woman wearing a leather jacket with her back turned to the camera and the photo was captioned, “Soon.” A lot of the fans started guessing and alluding that it was indeed Maine who will be Universal’s new singer.
It was then confirmed with #TheBigReveal video which shows Maine dancing and wearing the same leather jacket. The text on the video said, “She’s Ready.”
Inquirer also reported that Ito Rapadas, Neocolours’ vocalist and composer, posted on Twitter that he will be the overall producer of Maine’s album. So yes, it really is happening sooner than you think.
